HFFR

Interplast is continuously involved in the research and development of new formulations and the improvement of existing ones to make them more efficient and has now expanded its development to Halogen Free Flame Retardant (HFFR) cable compounds.

HFFR compounds are a relatively new class of materials, finding increasing use as a replacement for PVC and other halogenated polymers for applications where lower smoke and lower acid gas evolution are required during fire situations. This could be in an underground or overground railway, airport, ship, offshore rig or in any other public building or space.
